How do I clean it?

Your Pet Loo comes with Cleaning Instruction inside the box. You can also view a copy online by clicking here.
Please note that Pet Loo grasses should not be washed or dried in household washing machines or electric driers. Nor should chemical cleaners be used on the unit.

How often do I have to change the synthetic grass?

While we have gone to great strengths to make Pet Loo grasses as durable and tough as possible, Pet Loo Grass will need replacing overtime. This will depend on how often you clean the Loo, how many dogs are using it and the Loo’s positioning. Purchasing new grasses is at the Pet Loo owner’s discretion.

Can I move The Pet Loo around or does it have to stay in one place?

You may need to do this in the crucial training stage, however please note that although your dog may be using their Pet Loo confidently, a sudden change to their toileting habits may confuse them. Make sure that if you are moving the location of The Pet Loo, that your dog is introduced to the Loo’s new position promptly and in a positive manner. The Pet Loo is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Do I have to put it together myself?

The Pet Loo is bought as one piece. The work involved in assembling the product has been done for you, allowing you to simply enjoy its benefits.

Can I buy more than one and join them together?

If The Pet loo is being used by multiple dogs then this concept is ideal. The Pet Loo has been designed so that two or more units can easily be placed next to one another to create the feel of a park.

Can my pet sleep and eat on The Pet Loo?

Any activity other than toileting should not take place on or near the pet loo.

How does the product work with male dogs that want to lift their leg?

Generally when a male dog cocks his leg, he does so to mark his territory.

Something we advise to try is for the owner to get a small plastic pot-plant container and tip it upside down, placing it on the centre of The Pet Loo. This will give the dog something to cock his leg against. He may not understand what he’s to do at first, depending on his age, so this trick may require supervision at a time when he would normally urinate. After all, dogs are creatures of habit.

You may want to put him on a lead, pick him up and place him on the Loo until he urinates against the pot. Once he’s doing this on his own, the supervision can stop and over time, gradually take the pot away.

My puppy keeps chewing the synthetic grass and pulling it off The Pet Loo. What can I do?

We do not fasten the synthetic grass onto the base unit as the fasteners would act as a trap for urine and faeces.
br /> However, Velcro dots, purchased from your local haberdashery shop can help to act as a temporary fastener while your dog gets accustomed to their Loo. We do recommend that this is only a temporary solution though, until your dog is using The Pet Loo confidently.

My catchment jug has gone missing. Where can I purchase a new one?

Pup-Pee Solutions does not generally deal in spare parts. In saying that however, please contact our Head Office, as in most cases we can come up with a solution for you.

Why is my Pet Loo starting to smell?

Although you may be following the cleaning instructions closely, every dog is different – and so is their pee! Age, sex and diet all play vital roles in what waste your dog produces. So if you are finding that your Loo is starting to smell then Wee Care is what you need.

Wee Care is an enzyme based solution designed to eliminate unwanted odors that urine/faeces cause. It works by breaking down the fatty particles and proteins found in urine/faeces. Wee Care, like our entire enzyme cleansing range, is chemical free and 100% safe for people, pets and environment.

My Synthetic Grass seems to be losing grass blades around the edge. Should this be happening?

Pet Loo grasses do not have finished edges as it would be a trap for urine and faeces. If the mat is cut on the tuft it is normal for the grass to shed at the edges, just as a new carpet would. This should subside over time and is nothing to worry about in terms of the product’s effectiveness.

My Pet Loo slips across the floor whenever my dog jumps up on it.

You may want to purchase non-slip rubber dots or a non-slip mat if the surface you are putting your Loo on is a shiny/slippery surface.

Why does my Pet Loo Replacement Grass not fit The Pet Loo?

If you purchased one of the very original Pet Loo’s (circa 2006-2007) you will notice that it is 2 cm larger in both width and length. Replacement Grasses for these Loo’s are not always in stock at your local pet store. However, these larger grasses can be specially ordered in for you.
